Family History of a thousand years…

Our family has been arguing and fighting for over a thousand years. We’re part of Americana history.

My grandmother’s family were southerners by a way of Ireland. They were the Culpepers, Curtis, Hatfield, McCoys, Adams, Cash, Lee, Washington, and other Southern known names.

My grandfather was a second generation American via Scotland. His father was born American and quickly returned to Scotland. They were Masons, artisans, politicians, warriors and knight templars.

This information was a complete surprise to me. Though it made complete sense after witnessing years and multi generations fighting for over 40 years myself.

I wanted to add another layer to everything. My DNA matches the family stories.

I was born in the Midwest, Michigan in fact. Why did I dream of living in the south most of my life. It was always about Southern Virginia, near the water. Here I am in the Hampton Roads area for the last 3 years.

Almost 10 years ago, I decided to take a Civil War tour with my mom. I’m quite the War Historian. My grandfather influenced my addiction to history. He always joked, “Be careful who you talk about. They could be family. You never say nasty things about your family”. I just wish my grandmother’s family were of the same mindset. Most of the world knows the crazy family feuding between the Hatfields and McCoys… This happened and continues to happen with the extended families. Money is usually the root of fighting. My grandmother’s family is willing to kill for it.

Buy life insurance in another family member’s name and trying to make it look like an accident. I honestly wish this part was a lie. Unfortunately, I was the aim of attack after they killed my cousin in 2011. The money was easy. They deleted, cremated, and thought the story was gone. They didn’t even have the thought to put his death in the newspaper. It was like he didn’t exist.

I suffer from PTSD from my family. They will stalk you until you fight back. I’m not a fan of visiting the north or the Philadelphia area. It brings out my father in me. Without that fighter in me, I don’t know where I would be.

My father’s family came from Canada via Northern Europe. His family were Vikings. It would definitely explain why everyone is so tall. They are not ones to back down from any fight.

More to come soon…

Some names, locations and events have been changed to protect the innocent or avoid arguing in court for an endless amount of time.
